WE'RE 70% OF THE WAY THERE!
EOX Network has launched the 'State by State' Capacity-Building Campaign and we’ve already reached 68% of our $6.9 Million Goal! - Over the last five years, the ever-growing demand for our work reaffirms that employee ownership is uniquely positioned for this moment in American history. This campaign aims at building up the EOX State Center Network so that we can continue this work at the rapid pace needed to address the business closure crisis; benefiting workers, owners, and communities across states from Connecticut to California.
WHY A CAPACITY BUILDING CAMPAIGN?
According to the US Business Census 2018 Annual Survey, close to three million business owners in the United States are set to retire in the next five to seven years. Approximately 60% of these business owners do not have an exit plan, and generally, only 30% of small businesses locate a buyer. With no buyer in place, the jobs of millions of employees could be at risk with an estimated effect on as much as $1.3 trillion in annual payroll and $6.5 trillion in revenue. We have launched this Campaign to increase the capacity of EOX and our State Centers to be able to meet this moment in history most effectively.
CAMPAIGN GOALS
The goal of the EOX State by State Campaign is to raise $6.9 million dollars to fully staff and activate the EOX State Center network and ensure there are at least 25 State Centers operating at full capacity by the end of 2025. The funding raised through the State by State capacity-building campaign will be used to:
- Fully operationalize our 11 established State Centers.
- Provide start-up funding for our 4 newest State Centers.
- Increase EOX staff to provide the support needed to help all State Centers flourish including the 9 non-EOX incubated centers.
- Continue to convene, coordinate, and provide shared services to the entire Network of 24 State Centers across the country.
Together let’s make employee ownership available to everyone. We need your help to continue this momentum!
