NCEOC — Turning the Ambassador Model into a Network Tool
A project funded by the EOX State Center Grant Program
From one state’s program to a shared toolkit

The North Carolina Employee Ownership Center (NCEOC) has demonstrated success with its Ambassador Program, which equips advisors and ecosystem partners to bring EO into their own work. With project grant support, NCEOC took the next step: turning that program into a toolkit other State Centers can duplicate.
The Ambassador Webinar Toolkit includes:
- A full webinar agenda and slide deck.
- Process notes on software setup, registration, and follow-up.
- Guidance on recruiting Ambassadors and supporting them after the session.
- Opportunities for cross-state observation and training, so other Centers can see the model in action.
Ambassadors in North Carolina have already helped generate referrals, partnerships, and even board prospects—proof that advisor-facing work can be a multiplier, not just a one-off touchpoint.
This grew out of NCEOC’s capacity work, which included hiring a new Executive Director, developing a three-year strategic plan, and expanding the Ambassador Program statewide.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Advisors sit at the crossroads of many business decisions. By packaging a working model into a toolkit, NCEOC has created a shared asset that can help other State Centers build advisor pipelines without reinventing the wheel.
It’s a direct expression of EOX’s strategic goal to strengthen the State Center Network with replicable, high-quality tools that make the Network ecosystem more consistent and effective.
